All right angle triangles that are similar (i.e. have the same angles but different side lengths) have the same ratios between sides:
The two triangles above are similar. The largest triangle's sides are exactly twice the length of the smaller version. The angle shown in red is not any different! The ratio of the sides opposite:adjacent are both 3:2. Ratios between sides of similar triangles are so important, they have special names.
